C-Band Dish Antennas

The longer wavelengths of C-band signals are less susceptible to absorption and scattering by heavy rainfall.
- Wider Coverage Area: C-band signals offer a broader coverage area with fewer satellites. This makes it suitable for reaching remote or less developed regions.
- Less Susceptible to Terrestrial Interference: While C-band frequencies are also used by terrestrial microwave communication systems, careful coordination and larger dish sizes help mitigate interference issues.
- Common Applications:
- Television Receive-Only (TVRO) Systems: Used to receive free-to-air satellite television channels.
- Data and Communication Services: Providing internet access, telephony, and secure data transmission, especially in remote areas.
- Broadcasting: Used by broadcasters for signal distribution, particularly in regions prone to heavy rainfall.
